Colts' McAfee recruiting Suh, Andre Johnson with bold claims about Indy

NFL, Indianapolis Colts

Over the weekend, Pat McAfee wowed fans with his kicking prowess, drilling a soccer ball that lit up the radar gun at 124 mph. Well, he was at it again Tuesday, this time tapping into his inner recruiter on Twitter to lobby a pair of big-name stars to join him on the Indianapolis Colts.

When the Lions opted against franchising Ndamukong Suh, it made the All-Pro defensive tackle arguably the most sought-after player in free agency. The savvy McAfee, knowing the importance of getting the first crack at a hot commodity in free agency, made Suh his primary target, hoping to lure him to Indianapolis with promises of white sand beaches and hammocks. (Stop us if you can name a recruiter who doesn't embellish.)

He didn't stop there in his quest to bolster Indy's roster. After news broke that Houston's Andre Johnson was free to pursue a trade, McAfee set his sights on bringing in the veteran receiver to pair with burgeoning quarterback Andrew Luck.

And can you blame him? A target like Johnson could keep McAfee on the sidelines and far, far away from opponents looking to take their frustrations out on a punter.

We're pretty sure general manager Ryan Grigson's job isn't in jeopardy, but if Indy lands this devastating duo, McAfee has to garner some votes for executive of the year.

Hey, punters deserve love, too.
